Evangelism

Evangelism simply means preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ unto the world. This is another way of describing who we are and what we do. The Bible says, "Go unto the world and preach the Gospel to every creature, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things and lo. I am with you always unto the end of the world." (Mathew 28: 19-20). This is our prime directive, our great commission and the purpose why we've been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb of God. This is our service to God and the proof of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He said, "He that believes in me the work that I do shall he do also, and greater work than these shall he do …" (John 14:12)

You see, the Lord Jesus Christ came to the world more than two thousand years ago to seek and to save those who are lost. He died hanging at the cross to provide a form of ransom for all our sins, Today, we are celebrating the mighty act of love that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Because of what the Lord Jesus Had done, the church is here today rejoicing and living in the peak of spiritual abundance that God promised.

The joy of salvation is unspeakable and over whelming, this is the reason why God has given us the great commission to evangelize. Only those who experience the joy of salvation can share this. Only those who experience the power of forgiveness and redemption can relate the blessings of salvation. Only those who were redeemed by the blood of the Lamb can share awesome glory of being saved. That is why it was given to the church; that is why it was given to you and me.
