A Closer Look at Our Time

“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” -Psalms 90:12

Time is very important to us, without it there can be no record of what life is. The word implies a measurement of life. From a second, a minute, to an hour, from a day to a week, and a month to a year, all these are measurements of time being imposed in our lives. It is time that pinpoints an origin or beginning, it also indicates an ending, it records the events that took place from beginning to ending. Time is God’s measurement of life. It is amazing to note that only human beings have the awareness of time. The rest of God’s creation just live life without any accountability whatsoever with time. Human beings like you and me, are always under the constraints of time. I believe God ordained this law to guide us to endeavor to do what is right and what helps us accomplish the purpose of our lives.

Not only that time is the measurement of our life, it is also the greatest truth finder. Time will always reveal or discover the truth about everything, no one can hide from it. Thru time, God has shown us what is and what is not important in life and He wants us to act or react to it accordingly. This is God’s agent for reckoning and judgement. Thru time we can view the progress of our lives with precision and accuracy.

Finally, time is God’s instrument of warning of what is and what is not right with us. The Lord Jesus Christ said, redeeming the time for the days are evil. Time will lead us into a profound realization that things and situations are not always in our favor, and that we need to zero in to the important things and do it with all our might. It is my prayer that this message brings the needed awareness of how important time is, and that we will value it will all our hearts. God bless you all.
