Committing Ourselves Unto God
The building of the church of the living God was one of the greatest missions of the Lord Jesus Christ here on earth. The Bible says, that God had chosen a people to deal with in these last days. A kind of people who will always submit themselves to the every wishes of God, follow His words and will always do His pleasures. This group of people is no other than the church of the living God.
The church is very precious in the sight of God. They are the people whom God has given the power to become His children. Men and women whose lives were changed and their sins forgiven. They are the people who experienced the power of God whose lives were transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. To God be the Glory!
The building of the church was not an easy one. It took Jesus Christ to suffer, endure afflictions, ridicule and finally die the death of a criminal to build the church of the living God. That is why the church is the apple of His eyes, the center of His affections and the recipients of His riches of glory!
Being made heirs of this tremendous blessing and grace, we have nothing to give back in return for His goodness. No amount merited favor from God. The apostle Paul in the book of Hebrews ch. 10 v. 22-25, has given us the right response. The Bible says, "We must come to God with a true heart, with faith in our hearts, with a clean conscience thru the working of the Holy Spirit. "Let us serve God with all our heart, soul and mind." Let us protect and uphold this grace of God with all our hearts. This is our number one life commitment. God is expecting is everyday.
