Faith Tune Up
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” (James 1:2-4)
Faith is one of God’s greatest gifts for humanity. It is just unfortunate that not everyone has experienced its power and benefits today. But for those who live by faith, it is the source of blessing and victory. Faith is the only way to reconcile with God, as a matter of fact; it is the only way to attain salvation today. The Bible had declared that the only way we’ll have access to the grace of God is thru faith. Faith is the key to unlock all the benefits from the riches of God; it is also our first line of defense against all the attacks of the devil. Faith is one of our weapons to defeat enemies of our service to God.
The word of God has given us many admonitions in order to live by faith. But one of the greatest responsibilities we have as children of God is to make sure our faith is real and working all the time for us. That is why a tune up for our faith is equally important. The Bible said, “That faith is the substance of all things hoped for, (dreams, ideas, and plans) the evidence not seen.” We can provide the substance of things hoped for, but only positive thinking plus the assurance that comes from God that what we dream for will become a reality. Faith therefore is our partnership with God. Tuning up our faith is simply allowing the spiritual experience to happen again, like the touch of God, the infilling and the spiritual renewal by the power of the Holy Spirit. Our church fellowship has provided some programs and schedules to realize these spiritual experiences. What we need to do to tune up our faith is to attend our altar services and our prayer meetings in order to tune up your faith. Remember, our faith must be strong and producing results in order to be beneficial to us. God is waiting for you at the alter when you are ready. God Bless you all!
