Holding On

24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob' thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.
27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
29 And Jacob asked him , and said, Tell me , I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.
30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

-Genesis 32:24-30

Today, I would like to share a message from the words of God about holding on. I believe with all my heart that this is the message of God for the end time. The kind of message that will keep God’s children at bay, sober, and vigilant at all times. I believe if there is a time that our enemy is doing his 24/7, that time is now. The devil is here and he is doing everything to destroy our spiritual lives. But we will not allow him to ruin our spiritual investment with God. When the stormy winds of trials are hitting us, we will hold on, knowing that the suffering of this present times are not worthy to be compared to the glory that is to come.

To hold on means to get a good grasp of something. To hold on also means to hang on and not let go of God and His promises. To hold on means to not let go of God grip on something important and not letting it slip off your hands. This is what God wants us to do with our faith. As God helps us navigate the ways to our victory, He wants us to continue holding on to Him in the good times and the bad times. He promised, He will never forsake us nor leave us hanging in the cold. He said, I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you. Let us comfort one another with these words. God bless you all.
