Service to God
The International Webster Dictionary defines the word “service” as an act done for the benefit or at the command of another. Man’s life is a life of service. We got into this world thru the service of others, we stay in this world thru our service and we determine our destiny to whom we gave the best of our service.
Service includes satisfying those whom we serve, it is not an option. We can see its real essence everywhere; in our general rule of service, One must please or satisfy those whom he serve of face the consequence of his actions.
Service demands our best. The world will be in total disarray if everyone will not do their service. We are witnessing the painful results, the global problems and nearing collapse because people doesn’t want to serve.
To whom we gave our best service will determine our destiny. Some serve for money or for benefit, few serve and not expecting something in return. Some serve just to be noticed, some serve to gain power and some just for the fun of it. But the greatest of all services is the one that can secure your life’s destiny. This service is only given to God This is the noblest, the most important and the greatest thing that we need to know. Unlike other services, service to God demands our very best, The best of our time, efforts and talent. It demands a straight forward discipline, our heart and soul’s devotion and our daily actions. The Bible said; “This is whole duty, our purpose of existence, and our purpose of existence.” We don’t just do this for the benefit, nor a form of compliance to God. But this is something we need to determine our destiny.
