Serving the Lord
One of the greatest blessings of our lives as children of God knows who we are, knowing the purpose why we are here and most of all, why we are doing what we are doing today. Church, I want you to know that we are in the greatest calling of our lives-that is to serve the Lord Almighty with all our heart, soul and strength. We are not just doing this because we are the children of God, but because this is the greatest investment of our lives. We are investing for our eternal destiny today!
First and foremost in this endeavor is to know what kind of service does God wants? The Bible declares in John ch. 14 v. 12, "That those who believe in Him must do all His works." In Luke ch. 19 v. 10,"The Son of man is come to seek and to save those who are lost." Yes my friend, outreach to the lost is the work of Jesus Christ and this is the work that He wants us to do. The lost that is being mention here are the people who are not walking in the ways of God but are walking in the ways of God but are walking in their own sinful ways. These people are the ones we see everyday, they can be our own family, our relatives, our friends and acquaintances. They are out there waiting for us. We are their closet link to the grace of God. If we refuse to do this service, it will take another time for another individual to become closer to them in the way we are close to these people. Perhaps we are the closest they have in their lifetime. Let us not fail them. Let us not be selfish. Let us reach out to them and show them the fruit of our faith. Let us do everything to serve God with all our heart, soul and our might.
