The Fruit of the Spirit
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. 23 Meekness, temperance; against such there is no law."
- Galatians 5:22-23
The fruit of the Spirit are virtues that are being released from the presence of God (Psalms 16:11) in the fellowship. It is the opposite of the works of the flesh. In fact, one of the things that can help overcome the works of the flesh is the fruit of the spirit. It is one of the spiritual things that we need to aspire for in our lives. They are virtues that cater to our personal responses and because of that, it can guide our actions and reactions, to respond only to things that are virtues and good.
The fruit of the spirit is God’s gift for those who choose to stay in the presence of God continually. These virtues emanate from the presence of God and it’s given to help us serve the Lord and accomplish our purpose as children of God. Though they are not prerequisites for our salvation, it is unimaginable to think of a successful service and entering the kingdom of God without them.
The fruit of the spirit help us realize our Born-Again experience. The fact that they are virtues that cater to our emotional responses enable us to relate to it, experience its glorious power and finally be able to explain it to explore in our great advantage from the people of the world today. You see, all we have to do is come to God and choose to stay in His presence continually and He will bless us with these wonderful gifts. Come, let us join hands and ask the Lord for the fruit of the spirit. You will be glad that you did. God bless you all.
