The Power of the Altar
The altar is a very important important place of our devotions and service to God. It is the place that we have designated to commune with God. It is the best place where we show God the best of our devotions and our sacred response to the words of God.
The altar is the place where God can meet us halfway. The Bible says, “Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you.” It is the place where God manifest His presence towards His children; and with the presence is also the release of God’s virtues like love, joy, peace, satisfaction, and many more. The altar is the place where sinners reconcile with God and begin their spiritual conversion. It is the place where children of God begin their spiritual journey of service to God and realizing the born again experience.
Finally, it is the place where children of God begin to acquire the fruits of the Spirit. These are the virtues that help us realize our ultimate goal to become like Christ until the Lord Jesus Christ comes. With all the references we have enumerated here, we can conclude that the altar is one of the most revered and preferred place for spiritual experiences. As what one preacher declares, “If we believe with all our hearts, there is no telling what will happen at the altar. Let us continue to utilize this spiritual exercise at the altar.
