The Truth about The Holy Spirit
It’s not by might nor yet by power, but by my Spirit saith the Lord of Host. The Holy Spirit is not the third person of the godhead as many had supposed for God is only one and the rest of His dealing with man is through His manifestations. (anthropomorphic expressions) in order for Hs dealing to be understood. The Holy Spirit has a very important role in our regeneration or transformation. He is the manifestation of God in the ministry of changing lives. He is the same God who worketh all and in all. Jesus Christ said, “For the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name He shall teach you all things, and bring all things unto your remembrance.” He is our Comforter and Guide. He is our Convictor and Reminder. He is also our Refresher and Anointer, the living witness of our being the child of God.
In the book of Acts chapter 2, Peter preached a very convicting sermon regarding salvation and he said these words; Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus for the remissions of your sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is unto you and to your children and to all them that are afar of, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Yes my friend, when the Holy Spirit comes He shall bring a gift into your life. This is the gift of change, the blessings of adoption by God and the assurance that as long as we remain under His guidance, we shall never go astray. He’s going to be with us as He promised.
