The Word "Aflame"
It was a fateful day when the Lord Jesus Christ entered the city of Capernaum to preach toe words of God. A centurion came beseeching Him to heal his servant from palsy, a very tormenting disease. The Lord Jesus Christ gladly responded to go with the centurion, but the show of faith by the centurion had really amazed the Lord Jesus Christ, He said; “I have never seen such a faith in the whole nation of Israel. The words of the centurion were simple yet depicted the kind of faith that attracts the attention of God. The centurion said to Jesus, “Master, speak the words only, and my servant shall be healed.
The Bible has given us this very assuring promise; that the words of God shall not return to Him void, but shall accomplish that which he pleases and it shall prosper in the things whereto God has sent it. (Isaiah ch. 55 v. 11) The words for God will never fail. It will always accomplish its mission and purpose. God has designed His words to fulfill His wishes. The Lord Jesus Christ had said; that heaven and earth shall pass away, but the words of God will never pass away. God’s words is everlasting, it will never lose its power and daily effects in the lives of God’s people.
