What is Man?
"What is man that Thou art mindful of Him? And the son of man that Thou visits Him?" Psalms ch. 8 v. 4.
"What is man that Thou art mindful of Him, and visits him?" Those were the fascinating questions of King David when he inquired with God. The Bible is not silent with regards to the existence of man. God created man in His own image. This resounding declaration of God made man the greatest of His creation, the masterpiece of His creation. Man is both made and created (Gen. ch. 2 v. 7), he is composed of body, soul and spirit. A very unique creation of God equipped with the power of comprehension, will to choose, the knowledge of what is right and wrong and the ability to do whatever he desires to do. It has been said that no town human being are exactly alike. The uniqueness of man boggle the human understanding even to the prudent. Yet God's purpose why He created man is simple - that is to give Him glory and pleasure.
God has given man the power to rule over all His creation. He also has given man the right to pursue his own destiny. He has given man the blessing to be fruitful and have dominion over all that He created. Man is very special before God. His love toward mankind is unfathomable. The Bible said that, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." The Bible said that because of man lawlessness and indulgence his helpless state had exhausted. all human ways but the more he is buried in the quagmire of sin. Man is helpless and futile to save himself. Thank God the Lord Jesus Christ came to week and to save those which was lost. My brothers and sisters, you are special in the sight of God. He wants you to reconcile with Him and gain back the lost relationship. He wants you to fulfill the very purpose of your existence that is to give God glory and pleasure. Come to Him with faith in your hearts and He will never forsake you.
