What is Your Need?
Today, I would like to share in this article the message from the words of God about our needs. I believe with all my heart that having the answer to our needs is greatest success of our lives. It is the ultimate accomplishment we will ever have. But is this really possibility? Can anyone, with all their skills and talents find the answers to their needs?
First of all, let us define this word based on reputable and authoritative source. The word “need” means a condition marked by the lack of something requisite, or anything that our life cannot live without. This seems difficult to achieve knowing that people are limited and do not have always access to everything. Another obstacle is not many people understand the three parts of our humanity, which is the body, the soul and the spirit, and these three have different needs. The physical body needs food, clothing, shelter, rejuvenation and perhaps convenience to achieve its optimum capabilities. The soul enables us to have world consciousness; this is our capability to connect to the environment we are living in. The soul of man needs joy, peace, satisfaction, love and other virtues that sustain its functions. The last part of our humanity is the human spirit. Its function is to connect with God, it needs our daily devotion, the things we do for God to maintain our connection with God. When our spirit fails to connect with God, it triggers so many malfunctions in our lives, it is the root cause of the majority of problems that we are experiencing today.
My brothers and sisters, the only part of our humanity that we are able to sustain is our physical body, this is the limit of our human capabilities. Only God can provide the needs of our soul and spirit. The only way we can avail of His help is for us to have a relationship with Him and continue our daily devotions unto Him. He promised, He will supply all our needs according to His riches and glory. (Phil. 4:19)
